A Democrat and longtime Delaware County labor leader is throwing his name in the ring for the 9th District State Senate race.
John Kane, a longtime Delco resident, cancer survivor and business manager for the Plumbers Local 690 hopes to win the Democratic nomination to face incumbent state Sen. Tom Killion, R-9, of Middletown. The 9th district includes parts of Delaware and Chester counties. Kane now lives in Birmingham, Chester County.
“My focus will be on issues that matter the most to our families, friends and neighbors,” Kane said. “My wife and I have raised four children, stared down frightening health care challenges and we understand the importance of a good-paying job to provide stability and opportunity. Protecting and improving our quality of life will be my fundamental mission.”
